SmartTruck brings delivery routes and truck loading into one planning system. We combined vehicle routing with time windows, 3D bin packing and reverse logistics, with route maps and 3D load views to explain each plan.

Planning the route and the load
A delivery plan needs to account for both when a truck can reach each stop and how its cargo fits inside. SmartTruck combines capacitated vehicle routing with time windows, 3D bin packing and genetic algorithms, bringing route optimization and truck loading into the same workflow.
Making each plan visible
Route maps and 3D pallet views help explain the proposed plan. Reverse logistics brings return journeys into the planning problem, while the backend supports route previews, saved plans and a catalog API. The project earned third place in the Damm Challenge at InterHack BCN.
